Rock painting

Easy and fun painting activity for the weekend.

What you need:

Rock painting kit (purchase here)

Step by step:



Paint the animal with your desire colour.


Paint the outline.

Once the paint dry, paint a layer of varnish to make it shiny and long lasting. Bunny coloured by a 6 years old child, free hand painting by a 5 years old child.

Step by step:






Tips: Line the inside of the bag with parchment paper so that the paint does not bleed through to the inside of the bag or through to the other side.

Done! You can use stencil instead of freehand drawing.

Batik painting

A simple batik painting for kids weekend activity.

What you need:

Batik painting kit (purchase here)

Step by step:

Batik painting kit consists of 1 wax printed motive, 6 colours batik dye and a paint brush.

Mix colour and paint on the design. If you wish to get lighter colour, just mix the dye with water.

Continue painting.

Let the fabric completely dry and voila, all done!

Mickey and Minnie door tag

Simple DIY Mickey and Minnie door tag by preschool kids.

What you need:

2. Paint
5. Pom pom / button / felt stickers / ribbon

Step by step:


Paint the door tag red at the bottom and black at the top.

Once the red and black paint dry, paint a layer of varnish for glossy effect.

Stick white pom pom to Minnie door tag and yellow felt sticker to Mickey door tag. You may also use button or any other suitable materials instead.

Add a ribbon to Minnie door tag.

For more personalised door tag, stick your name with wooden alphabets.
